Question I may have asked before...

...is there any canon information on the origin of the three sisters in Despicable Me? I know there's nothing in the film itself, or its sequel, but I'd imagine that there may be outtakes on the Blu-Ray disk I haven't see, additional books etc. related to the series, and so forth. Anyone aware of anything?

An eccentric fossil hunter called Great Uncle Matthew (or GUM) acquires three orphaned babies whom he dumps on his great-niece at irregular intervals. Then he disappears and after five years the money pretty much runs out. Sylvia, the Great-Niece, has a large house on the Cromwell Road (which she lives in but does not own), her former nanny, Nana, a Cook and a housekeeper whose wages she needs to find from somewhere. Anyway, she lets out rooms in the house, and the various paying guests she find help her with educating the girls, who are got into a stage and dance school because they will then be able to start earning from the age of 12, rather than the more usual 14.
