Yay!

John Constantine has turned up in Arrow...

And he's British!

Wikipedia says it's the same guy as the Constantine TV series, but given that I lost interest in that pretty fast I didn't immediately recognise him. Now I'm wondering if he'll turn up in Flash and the Rick Hunter mini-series.

Yeah, it's actually pretty awesome. It's DC considering all those shows in the same universe regardless of network. (yes, even Supergirl - I've seen the creators talking about that - I still don't know how Gotham fits though).

I don't think they've said anything about him on Flash or in Legends. I think he was just in this one because it worked for the story...

Definitely - he fits much better as an occasional character than the main focus of the story.

I won't say I don't want to see more of him. I think the character worked marvelously for the episode and I really did want to see more of him. I think with Arrow's current storyline though, the magic fits better than it would into what's going on with Flash (all metahuman and alternate world storyline right now) or Supergirl (aliens are bad!). It depends how the Legends time travel stuff goes - I mean, Constantine could maybe fit into a story there. Maybe....

Then again, I still can't get my head around the idea that there's a Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover.

Well, the Bones universe seems to include ghosts and aliens so why not?

It does? I've only seen a few episodes of Bones, but it always seemed fairly mainstream.

The story arc which ended with Booth being treated for a brain tumour included an incident in which a ghost saved his life. They later said that this was all in his head - except that Brennan met and reacted to him at one point.

The alien thing was a guy with strange powers who claimed to be an alien, who turned up in one episode. Never explained away.

Bones isn't exactly unique in the weird shit - Castle has canon time travel, for example.
