Picspam - more birds

Nothing special, just some ducks from the canal a couple of weeks ago, and a heron I saw in one of the formal ponds in the Italian fountain garden in Kensington Gardens. Although it isn't obvious in this photo, there are no fish whatever in the water, I have no idea how long the heron stayed there. Reduced in size by photobucket.

Are there tadpoles or frogs in the canal? The heron would happily snack on those! Nice photos.

That's not a canal, it's a biggish basin about 20 x 50ft around an ornamental fountain. I've never noticed any amphibians in there, and they were all drained and cleaned out last year. It's possible stuff came in with the aquatic plants, of course.
