Starships - the monochrome version

A while ago I linked to this vid by [livejournal.com profile] bironic:

jetpack-monkey on Dreamwidth has remade it in a monochrome remix using footage exclusively from film and TV prior to 1969, so lots of Space Patrol, Fireball XL5, Forbidden Planet etc., with the shots as close as possible to the first vid.

A nicely eclectic mix. Could have used a bit of Weltraumschiff 1 Startet, maybe.

I suspect the editor went with whatever they could find that corresponded closest to the other vid. But looking at the clips on YouTube I see what you mean. Maybe they just missed it when they were looking for clips.

It's not terribly well-known. I only raised it because Jetpack-Monkey included some deliciously non-obvious films. Zhuravlyov's Cosmic Voyage is there, and I think I spotted a shot from 1918's Himmelskibet.

Yes, that's on the list of sources linked at the bottom of my post.

Later - forgot to say I'm still trying to work out which is the film with the girl walking along the corridor ceiling - any idea?
