Enemies list

Odd thought just crossed my mind. What would a Livejournal "enemies" list do?

I'd quite like a feature that enabled you to never see anything a given user had posted - as comments on other people's journals & in communities, obviously!

Oh yes, the lack of a killfile is one of the ways in which I think LJ inferior to usenet and mailing lists....

It would take names, report said names to a star chamber, possibly leak information across enemy lines.

Ya know. The usual.

On the grounds of "Keep your friends close....", I say it'd create an ultra-interesting highly refined 'friends' list.

Or notify you immediately they post anything containing your name.

I'm sure people would love something like an ignore list.

There is the "ban user from commenting in my LJ" feature, though since new accounts aren't hard to get, it's not that useful.
