Camera Update

Just back from collecting the camera. And yes, there really was a camera, it wasn't a scam or Candid Camera, and it actually works, although it's a even more worn than the one I have. So far as I can make out, she didn't think it was worth anything and put a silly price on it to get rid of it quickly, rather than waiting for bids or giving it away on Freecycle. I'm going to give it a few days just to make sure that there's no second thoughts etc., then see if any of my family want it - one of my nieces was after an SLR a couple of years ago, not sure she'll want one with this low a specification but it never hurts to ask. I don't currently have any spare Eos lenses but several have come my way recently, I might pick up another.

If she isn't interested it'll be a nice one to list on eBay. They don't go for a huge amount, but I can be pretty sure I'll get my money back!

An EOS 300D isn't worth *all* that much though; I've got one to sell. Mine had sticky grip, but a combination of isopropyl alcohol and baby wipes cleaned it right up.

I still use a 350D as my secondary body, and it's got me some pretty good shots, as long as you're not expecting low-light magic. (Then again, my primary is only a 400D.)
