Stamps update

Got the stamps replaced today, only eight days after posting which isn't bad considering how busy they must be. The new stamps are about 50% bigger than the old one even without the code (it's a narrow strip of QR code, not bar code, my bad for the error) and total width with the code strip is about twice that of the old ones.

Each has a different code, it appears to be possible to detach it from the stamp, not sure why.

New UK stamps with QR codes.

are the codes different for each one or are they identical? I'd imagine that they would have to be different otherwise counterfeiting them would be a dawdle...

On a related note, I got this through the letterbox yesterday and thought you might find it interesting...

TLDR: Royal Mail will now collect parcels for posting directly from your house, and can even provide posting lables.

How many stamps do you get through? It's months to the deadline. I buy a book of 12 when my supply is low, and that often lasts me months. Birthday cards, Christmas cards and SF Foundation business are the main uses for me. Can't remember when I last bought any, and I still have three left.

A late follow-up.

I was down to my last stamp and it's my niece's birthday next week so I bought some more in Tesco just now. They no longer do books of 12 and 6, now it's 8 and 4.
