Wahoo!

Torchwood just mentioned UNIT!!!!

No details, but they DO exist in the same continuity! YAY!

The first mention of Torchwood, the big laser that blasted the aliens on Ten's arrival, had the PM saying she wanted to bypass UNIT. But it's nice that it's established in that continuity, too.

Must have missed that - not as observant as I like to think sometimes.

Not to mention Owen had a UNIT pass back in Ghost Machine.

I'm obviously incredibly unobservant!

Let's add the Christmas Invasion which featured UNIT HQ in the Tower of London, UNIT troops and Major Blake, a senior UNIT officer.

Good grief - I need to watch it again!

Weren't they in Aliens of London too? When the Slitheen gathered together experts of aliens, I thought some were from UNIT.

[identity profile] w00hoo.livejournal.com 2006-11-27 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
I definitely remember some of them being Unit, yes.

And the missile was launched through the UNIT web site.

Those experts got killed though, so UNIT might have been significantly weakened by that, and there have been other organisations wanting to take it over in the past, so the writers could probably have had Torchwood take over UNIT if they had wanted.

I know just enough to say 'woohoo.' :-)

I have seen a little of Hartnell, most of Troughton and most of Pertwee. Although when I say most, the person who's showing them (one episode a week, no more), does cut together the boring episodes into a longer overview piece. I've missed on the last three months worth (what's that fourteen episodes?) of Tom Baker episodes.
