White Knight

White Night arrived from the USA this afternoon, 21 days after ordering. Not too bad considering I saved a few quid by buying it that way.

Cover blurb, which I hadn't spotted on line, is

"Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Philip Marlowe" - Entertainment Weekly.

Not terribly accurate, but an interesting comparison. What will [livejournal.com profile] autopope's next Laundry book be, I wonder - "Think The Office starring Cthulhu?"

Ah that'll explain why my search failed. I haven't read any of the Dresden Files books though I've been enjoying the TV series. Shame it appears to have been cancelled.

The books are better.

I know that the first TV series has ended, wasn't aware it was cancelled. AFAIK they haven't announced the 2nd series yet, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's cancelled.
