...is that the account was suspended for spamming. Looks like someone managed to hack into the email facilities (which I don't use) and turned it into a spam site. They also appear to have changed the passwords to lock me out, but hopefully that will be sorted fairly quickly.

Later: Looks like the passwords weren't changed, I just forgot they were case sensitive. Hopefully this will turn out to have happened without the account security having been otherwise penetrated, I think that may be possible.

Exactly. Fortunately any spam blocking doesn't give me problems because I don't use forgottenfutures.com as an email address.

I get clowns spoofing my email. Every now and then I'll get a bounceback or a request for subscription confirmation for somebody who isn't me. Hope you get the problem cleared up.

This is unfortunately someone using my site itself, not just a spoofed header. I have no idea how it's happening, that's techy stuff, but 1000+ emails an hour were going out.

I really doubt it was anything personal - I think that something wasn't set up correctly, allowing someone else to use it as a relay for spam.
