Doctor Who RPG

For anyone who hadn't heard, Cubicle 7 Games have acquired the Doctor Who license and will be publishing an RPG.

And hopefully it will be better than the old Doctor Who RPG. Not that it would be hard...

No argument from me. WAY overcomplicated and badly researched.

That said, some of the FASA scenarios might be salvageable. I might actually run one or two if there is a playtest called for.

I have a Timelord scenario on my site - it might also be convertible, though it's written with the older Doctors in mind.

Exactly.

I never bothered with the FASA Dr WHO rpg. After their horrifically complex Star Trek rules, I tended to avoid them. I much, much prefer Timelord and I'm hoping that Cubicle 7's effort will be simple and cinematic. I think it needs to be because the bulk of their target audience has to be the new generation of kids that are watching the show.

Has anyone played any of Cubicle 7's other games? Are they likely to use a house system and if so, is their house system any good?

I've heard good things but have no specifics.
