WTF?

Someone has apparently tried to sign me up to a yahoo group called LDO-annc without my knowledge. Anyone know what this is?

There are numerous reasons (about 300 spams a day, for one thing) why I want nothing more to do with yahoo.

That's most likely a redirected/masked mail sent by a worm virus to the groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com address.
Happened to me as well twice as I know loads of people who use yahoogroups.

It's possible - the URL inside was as complicated as all hell, and I deleted it without checking for attachments etc.

... I have gotten such things several times in the past, I'm guessing that some might be finger trouble in typing in a wrong address, some are actual people that think you might be interested based on either personal knowledge or some key words on your website, but I think the majority are doing it so that they can get you to join up and view their ads.

Ok, it's a list for fans of actress Lexa Doig (work safe, IMDb listing).

She's been in Andromeda, CI5-The New Professionals, TekWar and a small bunch more, and appeared in one episode of Earth Final Conflict.

Not something I'm interested in joining, probably was a virus or something.

Can't see someone accidentally typing my e-mail address; it's 28 characters!
