Slight pedantic feeling that it the correct plural of "Squid" here is "Squid", not "Squids," but never mind...

There's no entry for "squid" in Fowler's, so I'm not sure about UK usage, but in the US at least, "squids" is a valid alternative plural, though admittedly a newer one.
