Shrimp & Bladerunner

Well, it amuses me...

Having now seen 5-17 I copied this from TV tome:

Illyria (talking about other dimensions): I traveled all of them as I pleased. I walked worlds of smoke and half-truths, intangible. Worlds of torment, and of unnameable beauty. Opaline towers as high as small moons. Glaciers that rippled with incensing lust. And one world with nothing but shrimp. I tired of that one quickly.

I think that this is the first time the whole "world with/without shrimp" thing has been used in Angel, although it was used in Buffy a couple of times. Does make me wonder what the other dimensions are like if the shrimp ones are the most memorable...

As for Illyria's speech, anyone else pick up a "Bladerunner" vibe?

Yep, there's a certain resonance with the "attack ships on fire off the Tannhauser Gate" speech.

I have to say that it's vaugely reassuring that Shrimp World sticks in the mind of everyone who visits it...
