Baby update

My sister is just back from visiting my niece and baby, and tells me they are both very well. Baby is nine and a half pounds, which possibly means that the clothes I got for him will be too small, but they're from Marks and Spencer so they can always change them.

She's apparently feeling tired but otherwise OK - don't have any photos of her though, she didn't want anyone to see her like that, but the baby looks very cute - really big, but cute.

That's quite a respectable birth weight. technoir was 10 lb 3 oz. If you got to meet him when he came over, you can see what happens when they grow up.

Don't think I met him, but I could be wrong.

My sister said that when she held the baby her arms started to feel tired after a few minutes, which isn't exactly what you expect from a newborn baby.

THat's...large. I had a hard enough time getting my seven pound six ouncer out. Nine and twelve just makes my uterus cry. Congrats to her though!

Thanks. The odd part is that my niece is actually a fairly small woman.

The clothes should be fine if they're newborn size -- but a tip for another time is that unless you're buying sleepsuits, you should buy in 3-6 months size or bigger. Because apart from, possibly, one outfit for when grandma visits, all they wear is sleepsuits for the first few weeks. Most of the sweet little outfits that you get are best later on.
