Fan Wank

Is Sir Fred Goodwin a wanker? Enquiring minds want to know...

There appears to be a deplorable attempt to push this to the first result for any google search on "Wanker" or "Sir Fred Godwin", so that in the fullness of time the terms might become synonymous. I, of course, find it very easy to believe that others hold this opinion.

I'm glad someone else thought of the 'wanker' substitution, which I used in a comment last night. Cherlie is right.

I have a friend who worked for a bank in the nineties. They wanted to call their quiz team the "Wunch" (short for "Wunch of Bankers") but management wouldn't let them.

You've spelt 'commendable' wrongly.

I couldn't possibly comment.

But is this going to deplace the old meaning of phrase "Godwin's Law"?

I was wondering that myself.

What will they call it? Wanker's Law"? Only time will tell!

Though it's worth pointing out that the man's name is Fred Goodwin.

Except that it's Fred Goodwin who's a wanker, not Fred Godwin.

And this is what I get for trying to post coherently at 2.47 AM... Thanks, now corrected.

I wouldn't think there's any need to dance around it if you haven't been specifically served.
