Frozen Yogurt
I had a little frozen yogurt (a sampler from a new shop) a few days ago and it was very nice. But the shop sells the stuff at £1.50 for 100g, so you would pay about fifteen quid for the equivalent of a one-litre tub of ice cream.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a more reasonably priced source in London; if not, how hard is it to make the stuff, is an ice cream machine essential or can you just do it in a bowl?

Doesn't look that hard.

I have a spare machine, the type where you pre-freeze the bowl (in an ordinary freezer) so all the machine does is churn. Since inheriting a more sophisticated one I don't use it, but it works well for most recipes. (Its freezing power is marginal for alcoholic ice cream). Would you like it?

Recognising me - nerdy thirtysomething in a tie, ponytail, glasses, and tricorne hat. At least the last of these is distinctive!
