Another (slightly problematic) stereogram

Question especially for American readers.

This is one of the pictures I've scanned in, but I'm a little worried that I'll offend over-delicate sensibilities by including it without comment, given its title. I'm going to include it, but I'm wondering if there should be some sort of disclaimer. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Uncle Tom and Little Eva.

You might be wise to include some short explanation, but I wouldn't invest too much time or effort in doing so. Anyone who'd take offense will do so no matter how "sensitive" you chose to be.

If people are going to be offended, they'll be offended regardless of whether or not you include a disclaimer. I say don't worry about it.

The name "Uncle Tom" has some cultural baggage, of course, but I wouldn't be too concerned.

There are three broad reactions to this sort of thing:

1) It shouldn't be shown.
2) Things like this and -Birth of a Nation- -should- be shown because understanding history of racism is important.
3) Huh? Wha?

Things like the Pokemon named Jinx make me wince, but I dunno that most people even notice. If you haven't seen it, do a Google search.
