I should add that with this one you really need to read the small print - the article was wrongly attributed to Jules Verne by the Strand Magazine, but was actually by his son!

fascinating. People write up the most bizarre things.

The more modern one was apparently an April Fools hoax by a fairly large corporation, forget the details.

A very elaborate and well done hoax, I must say. I'm positive that quite a few people were fooled by that one. :o)
