Flatland video

Still no luck whatever in finding the Dudley Moore Flatland video in a format I can use. It's available to academic buyers in the US on VHS for $70, but since my VCR can't handle NTSC tapes this isn't a lot of help, and I can't afford to pay that price anyway.

Anyone know if there's a UK source? Somewhere I could rent it? Can't find anything on Google. I haven't had time to check film archives yet, can anyone suggest which ones are most accessible for nuisances like me?

I do have a VCR that will handle NTSC (but, IIRC, it then outputs not-quite-real-PAL that many but not all TVs will handle, so I can't be sure of making you a usable copy). And it does nothing to solve the "and I can't afford to pay that price anyway" part of the problem.

You could try emailing them so see if they have a UK distributor, or if they'll sell you a tape for less than 75 bucks.

If they do, I can transcode NTSC to PAL, and make you a fully legitimate backup copy to DVD.

They just offered to sell me an all-regions DVD. But I'm not going to spend that sort of money for a 10-minute film.
