BtVS / BSG crossover Drabble - The One Where Nobody Believes The Accident Report

My last story of 2009, a VERY silly idea for a BtVS / Battlestar Galactica crossover...

100-word BtVS / Battlestar Galactica crossover. All characters belong to their respective creators, and there is no intent to infringe on copyright. This story may not be distributed on a profit-making basis.

The One Where Nobody Believes The Accident Report

by Marcus L. Rowland

As Buffy nerved herself to jump something white flashed through the portal, heading upwards, shedding metal and plastic debris. A sleek fuselage ploughed through the dragon, and fire and gore rained down onto the portal... which abruptly slammed closed.

Buffy helped Dawn down the tower as an ejector seat fell beneath a twisted parachute.

The tower collapsed behind them, burying Ben, as the seat crashed to the ground. The scoobies gathered around the unconscious occupant, and Xander read the name on her suit. "I know the coffee guys are competitive, but did anyone else know Starbucks has an air force?"

End.

Prompted by rather too many "Buffy / Dawn falls out of the portal" stories. Why should the Scoobies have all the fun?

I'm probably going to post this one to Twisting The Hellmouth as the first story in a Round Robin.

Glad you liked it. I'm afraid there may be sequels...

Drabbles or full-length sequels?

I mean whatever you do it's bound to be better than the canon BSG ending.

No idea yet - probably drabbles.

Love it!

Just a note: I think there is a typo in the last line. Shouldn't Xander say 'has an air force' rather than 'have an air force'?

Thanks for the giggles.

Happy New Year!

Thanks - now corrected. Glad you liked it.

Oh yeah, we take our coffee pretty seriously up here in the Pacific Northwest. Even the Ft Lewis Army base has their own coffee roasting operation: Battle Bean Coffee (http://www.battlebeancoffee.com/). ;-)

Love this one, I got a good belly laugh out of that last line.

Edited to add URL above.

Military coffee! Does Daniel Jackson know?

[identity profile] sulien.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... He might, if someone at the SGC was stationed at Ft Lewis or McChord AFB in the last decade or so. It would definitely make for an interesting side plot in a story, especially since their coffee really is exceptionally good (far better than Starbucks, IMHO).

ROTFLMAO

Then my work here is done.

Very funny. (As your drabbles always are.)

Thanks - Don't forget who really owns Starbucks...
