Buffy versus Edward - Someone's loading the deck...

The Buffy Versus Edward video mash-up, which was actually cited by the US Copyright Office as an example of fair usage under US law, has been taken down at the instigation of Lionsgate, the Twilight crowd. Their reason - the guy who did the remix has complained about them using it as an advertising platform which would be a violation of the fair use principle.

Some disturbing implications from this one, for fanfic as well as videos etc., if it isn't resolved to clarify and strengthen the Fair Use principle.
