Snow horror day 2

ffuturesA nice bright day, cold but no more snow. School website wasn't showing a closure, and I could see frequent trains on the underground, so I went in to work by train. VERY fast journey, they seemed to be running more trains than usual, but when I got there I found that the school was closed - couldn't even go in and tidy things up, the building was locked.
Coming back took about three times as long, of course... When I got home I found an email telling me that there was a directive from the educational authority (presumably) closing the school. Which is odd because transport is in general much better than it was yesterday - some of the underground lines are running reduced services but buses seem to be back to normal.
Oh well, I shall somehow live with my disappointment...
