...which I don't...

Morgans latest email is a special BOGOF offer on iHip noise-reducing ear phones at £4.95

http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/searchresults/?searchterm=ihip&redir-to=

If you enter the promo code EAR495 when you order any of these you get a second one free.

I have no idea if these are any good or not - their ad says "arguably equivalent to branded models like DRE Beats which are £75 or more," but of course the moon is "arguably made of green cheese" for certain values of arguably.

The usual warning - I used to work part-time for Morgans (or rather, to the company that owned that name before the business was sold to the current mail order people) so tend to pay more attention to their ads than their competitors, there may be better deals around.

I'm tempted. What is "noise-reducing"? Is that what used to be called "noise-cancelling"?

noise-reducing is not necessarily active noise-cancelling. It just means that the headphones reduce ambient noise a bit — which almost all headphones do. At this price I'd suspect that it is pretty much a marketing buzzword.

Probably right - about all that the email says that the ad doesn't is that they have built-in woofers and tweeters.
