ffuturesCBS is going to run a new Star Trek tv series, debut in 2017.

Producer Alex Kurtzman is known for his work on the rebooted Star Trek movies. - not director. JJ Abrams is still the director of Star Trek Into Darkness... not Kurtzman. Kurtzman was one of the writers though, yes.
