Double Feature
Sep. 12th, 2006 09:58 pmDecided to take a break from other things and watch Repo Man and Straight To Hell.
Repo Man is just as good as I remembered. Definitely a must-watch film.
Straight To Hell... well, a little anticlimactic after Repo Man. If anything it reminds me of the spaghetti Western episode of The Comic Strip, mixed in with some Pulp Fiction references and some running gags about a town run by a gang of coffee addicts. I'm about an hour into it now, and it just feels a little silly and less than impressive. It's not a bad film by any means, just not as good as I was hoping for.
Later - OK, watched the whole thing now. Not impressed. Not even a little. Self-indulgent silliness, with a stupid ending.
