I'm not allowed to play with one of these at work, we don't have the necessary permits or lead-lined laboratory, and I really have no desire to use one at home, but if anyone is seriously interested in studying x-ray physics this may be a bargain...

Sci-Fi Air Show - newish exhibit

Just noticed that the Sci-Fi Air Show (which tries to keep all of the iconic spacecraft of film and TV flying) added a new exhibit in March, the Liberty 2 lander from Planet of the Apes.

Eclipse!!!

Google's logo of the day reminded me that there's a total lunar eclipse tonight, which will visible from 9.20-10.30 PM in the UK - the sky is totally clouded over here, unfortunately, so I doubt I'll see anything, hope some of you get lucky.
