Today's street market bargain...

...was two 2gb USB sticks - for 50p each, picked up at one of the stalls on Bell Street, near Edgeware Road station. The guy had quite a few more, but since I couldn't test them (and don't really need more) I just got the two. So far one tests OK and has formatted at 2gb, the other seems to be borked; I've tried wiping it with Windows, got most of the way through, then got an error message saying it couldn't complete, so I'm trying to format it on the iBook and it seems to be working. Should be handy, if only for giving files to people if I don't want to burn a DVD-ROM. A couple of years ago I would have been VERY pleased, and/or annoyed I didn't buy the lot - today most of my other USB sticks are 8gb and I'm really not that bothered either way. Such is the march of progress...
