Going RAID?

OK, so I've ordered the D-link network drive box and I have a 3TB drive to go with it. I'd really like to go RAID, but that would require another 3TB drive (or two others the same size which sort of defeats the object of the exercise, by making it very expensive). Anyone know of any good offers in the UK at present?
