On the recommendations of my previous post I got myself an iPhone SE 32GB - cost £85 which I don't think is too unreasonable. A few of my old apps don't work on it, but nothing I can't live without, and a couple that were previously not being updated are now up to date. It's got a nice screen and seems to work OK, and now that I've driven a stake through Siri's heart I'm pretty happy with it.
One small problem - I forgot my phone provider's password, and for reasons that escape me have ended up with a new phone number. Very strange and a bit annoying. Now I have to sort out phone number changes on various sites e.g. PayPal, Gmail, etc. which is just a LITTLE annoying because they mostly use the phone number to verify changes. But it's all part of life's rich tapestry...
