Last time I said:
I may as well be honest - I'm not a huge fan of Glenn Cook's fantasy, with the exception of the Garrett PI series, but he's a good writer and very popular. He's best known for the Black Company series, which isn't included, if you've only read that and haven't seen his other work this looks to be a good introduction.
I don't see any reason to change that.
