BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina are sending me reminders to pay my bill on line. Since I am British (and we have Eviiiiil socialised medicine) and have never had any sort of account with them I suspect that this is related to the person whose medical test results were sent to me a few weeks ago.

Does anyone have a way to contact these idiots by email that doesn't involve being a registered customer or something?

Update - solved thanks to Livejournal's jgd; I contacted them via their "Report fraud" contact page, and hopefully they'll sort it out.

Christ, American healthcare really is run by a bunch of chimpanzees. Somewhere the American Marcus will be wondering where the hell his test results are and why his insurance has lapsed. And meanwhile Blue Cross run a system that hasn't even identified they're trying to chase the wrong person in the wrong country.

That's what I'm afraid of, this person could lose his health insurance because their admin is useless. Or possibly because he's an idiot who gave the wrong email address, of course...

The second possibility seems more likely, judging by my own experience of receiving misdirected email. There seems to be a lot of idiots out there.

Try their fraud report form? That like seems the place where someone with a brain cell might be reading correspondence.

I thought of that, but it seems to require a lot of information and doesn't seem to be designed for reporting that _they've_ done something wrong.

But in the end I was able to send a message by putting a dash in most of the boxes, so it's better than nothing. Thanks for the suggestion.

They actually replied - thanks again for suggesting this - and hopefully this will now get sorted.
