I've been wanting to post this for ages, but couldn't because H.G. Wells is one of the authors and was still in European copyright until the end of 2016. Then I forgot in January, for which many apologies:

The English House of the Future from The Strand Magazine December 1903: No author credited for the first section, though various architects are quoted at length, the end section is by H. G. Wells.

Interesting comments by Wells; with the exception of a move away from rectilinear rooms, pretty much all of his other predictions have come to pass.

(Yes, corners can be a problem, but curved walls are a pain unless you have specially fitted furniture.)

The curved wall thing is also in Things To Come if I recall correctly. Nice idea, but a pain when you want to fit shelves or bookcases...

I forgot to say that they did the curved floor / wall junction thing in our 6th form labs when I was a technician and it was fine for cleaning the place - the snag was that we had to put filing cabinets in a couple of the labs and they had to stand out a couple of inches from the walls! Similar problems in the store room.
