Idle Brexit Thought

Something I really should have asked before the Brexit vote - if Europe is so horrible, shouldn't we also be withdrawing from the European Cup, the Eurovision Song Contest, etc. etc.? Come to think of it, will Britain still be part of Eurovision after we leave, and if so what does that do to British TV?

Well, seeing that Australia appears to be part of Eurovision...

Then again, I remember reading as a teenage a book by Patrick Moore where he gave anecdotes about the Eurovision coverage of the 1961 eclipse of the sun. When it was pointed out to the Spanish representative that the eclipse wasn't going to be visible from Spain, he asked, "Can't that be changed?"

Given that Australia enters the Eurovision Song Contest, being in Europe no longer seems to be a criterion for eligibility!
