Impending Bulgaritude (again)

 Heard yesterday that all going well I will be a great-uncle again for the 8th time in July. Annoyingly there appear to be no easily thought-of sports where you have a team of 8 players, the only ones I've found so far are some weird basketball thing where the teams are 4 men and 4 women (so far it's 6 boys and one girl) and Tug of War, which is basically a bit boring, and tricky with the oldest player 13 years older than the youngest. Any other suggestions?

I'd never actually thought as Calvinball as having a fixed number of players, but I see what you mean.
