This new Worlds of 2000 AD offer presents the licensed EN Publishing RPGs based on Judge Dredd and other series from the long-running British comic 2000 AD. The Judge Dredd RPG and its 2000 AD campaign supplements use the WOIN ("What's O.L.D. is N.E.W.") rules system, a crunchy, tactical system for adventures in many settings. EN Publishing's license to sell these ebooks ends soon -- but our customers' Worlds of 2000 AD Bundle purchases will remain on their Wizard's Cabinet download page and in their linked DriveThruRPG Library even after the license ends.
We provide each title complete in .PDF. Like all Bundle of Holding titles, these ebooks have NO DRM (Digital Restrictions Management), and our customers are entitled to move them freely among all their devices.
Ten percent of each purchase (after gateway fees) goes to this offer's pandemic-related charity, Direct Relief. Direct Relief sends protective gear and critical care medications to health workers, with emergency deliveries to medical facilities across the US and to regional response agencies across the world.
The total retail value of the titles in this offer is US$84. Customers who pay just US$7.95 get all five titles in our Rulebook Collection (retail value $35) as DRM-free ebooks, including the complete Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD RPG Core Rulebook (retail price $10), plus its GM Screen (retail $5) and print-and-play Counters (retail $5) [all previously presented in the February 2020 Judge Dredd RPG Bundle], along with the Rogue Trooper and Strontium Dog campaign sourcebooks (retail $7.50 each) based on the Dredd RPG rules.
Those who pay more than the threshold (average) price, which is set at $17.95 to start, also get our entire Adventure Collection with seven more titles worth an additional $49, including the Judge Dredd: Luna-1 Sourcebook (retail $5); five full-length adventure sourcebooks -- The Apocalypse War (retail $10), The Cursed Earth (retail $6.50), The Day the Law Died (retail $7.50), The Judge Child (retail $10), and The Robot Wars (retail $5); and an anthology of seven short scenarios, the Judge Dredd Case File Compendium (retail $5).
I haven't had time to take a detailed look yet, but my impression is a nicely presented system with good artwork (not surprising since it comes from the comics) and a decent attempt to cover the material properly, although it does seem to concentrate on the early years of these series. I'm not a huge fan of the WOIN system since it tends to emphasise combat over characterization, but given the source material that's probably inevitable - previous attempts have been similarly combat-heavy. If you like the comics it's well worth a look, who knows when the license will be granted again?
