Black Scrolls Medieval Fantasy City Modular Map-TilesThis revived June 2021 Black Scrolls Modular Map-Tiles Bundle offer once again presents beautiful full-color digital battlemat tiles for any medieval FRPG. Created by Hungarian graphic artist Antal Kéninger of Black Scrolls Games and funded in a November 2017 Kickstarter campaign, the mix-and-match tiles in the Cities of the Black Scrolls series depict medieval city and village buildings, castle and fortress walls, inns and arenas, cathedral aisles and dungeon crypts. Print these modular .PDFs and assemble them into gorgeous battle sites for your game table, or import the digital .JPG and .PNG images into your favorite virtual tabletop like Roll20, Foundry VTT, or Fantasy Grounds.

Each Black Scrolls set includes dozens of tiles. Many outdoor scenes have day and night versions; many room tiles are provided both empty and furnished. Each set includes "cutout" props and accessories like tents, doors, gates, and dungeon traps. With the hundreds of tiles in this bargain-priced offer, you can build any inn, village, castle, fortress, or dungeon on the spot, and expand it by just placing another tile.

Note: These high-quality full-color image sets are seriously large! The Village Collection alone requires 2.1 gigabytes of disk space, and the whole bundle measures 5.5 gigabytes. Clear space on your hard drive!

We provide each title complete in .PDF. Like all Bundle of Holding titles, these ebooks have NO DRM (Digital Restrictions Management), and our customers are entitled to move them freely among all their devices.

Ten percent of each purchase (after gateway fees) goes to this Black Scrolls Map-Tiles revival's designated charity, the Diana Jones Award Emerging Designer Program. Each year, the Diana Jones Award for Excellence in Gaming, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, amplifies the voices of up-and-coming game designers by featuring them during an expenses-paid visit to Gen Con. The global Emerging Designer Program focuses on creators from marginalized communities.

Black Scrolls Dark Crypt Modular Map TilesThe total retail value of the titles in this revived Black Scrolls Map-Tiles Bundle is US$66.50. Customers who pay just US$7.95 get all four titles in this revival's Village Collection (retail value $24.50) as DRM-free ebooks, including Medieval Fantasy Village, Modular Inn, Cemetery, and – newly added in this revivalDocks and Canals.

(Customers who purchased this Black Scrolls offer in its original June 2021 run also receive the newly added Docks and Canals automatically on their Wizard's Cabinet download page and in their linked DriveThruRPG Library. This is their reward for buying early.)

Those who pay more than the threshold (average) price, which is set at $17.95 to start, also get this revival's entire City Collection with seven more titles worth an additional $42, including City (plus the free City and Fortress Transition Tiles), Fortress, Castle, Moat and River, Cathedral, Dark Crypts, and – also newly added this time aroundTrenches, a set designed for World War I scenarios but easily adapted to medieval fantasy battlegrounds. (And, again, those who bought the June 2021 offer get this new set automatically.)

Last time around I said "Unfortunately this really isn't something I need at all, since most of my gaming is modern-day, Victorian or alternate history settings. It looks very pretty and if you need it you are definitely getting a lot for your money. The snag I can see is that keeping it organized and getting it out quickly as needed will not be simple, but if you're that sort of organized person it is probably for you."

I should also add a wealth warning - start printing this stuff out on a big scale and you will be getting through a LOT of ink / toner. The alternative is to use a virtual tabletop, but that's really not my style of play, I'm more into improvising a lot of the detail as I go.

The new material for WW1 expands utility a little, but unfortunately isn't something I need. If you've previously bought this bundle remember that you get the extra stuff automatically, you don't need to buy it again (assuming you bought the full bundle last time).
