ffutures | Bridge Repair Update

An update on the bridge repair I mentioned, it turns out I misinterpreted the wording of the notice about this - they're not closing the railway down to make the repair, they're doing it now because the Network Rail lines into Paddington (and other lines including parts of the Elizabeth Line) will be closed for a week due to major track changes at Old Oak Common, and it will be easier to get at the bridge if there are no trains. This doesn't actually seem to be affecting the underground at all and my local station appears to be remaining open. So people wanting to go West from Paddington to e.g. Heathrow may have problems that week, but it doesn't look like they'll be shutting the bridge to traffic or closing Royal Oak station which is good news for me.
