Now if this could only be real... Also the real killfile I suggested a VERY long time ago, pre my livejournal account, whenever someone gets killfiled by more than a hundred people they get a visit from a couple of Mafia hitmen...

redwolfoz has a modest proposal, which would be incorporated into existing functionality found in most e-mail software. It's another critical mass idea - if enough people indicate that the message is spam, the originator's head blows up.

Problem with both ideas is forged headers, I think.

redwolfoz has contemplated that, and the protocol would work on the originating machine, rather than the address it claimed to be from. Of course, this means that lusers who failed to secure their machines, and/or opened a random attachment they were sent by an unknown source would have their heads exploded too, but she considers this to be a feature, not a bug.
