Fabula Ultima is a tabletop RPG inspired by Japanese RPG-style console computer games such as Final Fantasy and by Japanese anime. It's published by Need Games and Rooster Games, and the bundle includes the rules, a couple of worldbooks, GM's toolkit, and so forth.

I'm reliably informed that this is "awesome," but the person who told me that is much more into the genre than I am. My impression is that it's competently designed and seems to touch a lot of the bases which I more or less know are part of the Japanese gaming scene. It's also pretty cheap, and if I was more into this genre I'd be all over it.
One thing I should probably mention is that it's apparently based in part on the tabletop roleplaying game Ryuutama, written by Atsuhiro Okada and published in English by Kotodama Heavy Industries. I don't know how it compares to its predecessor, which I've never seen.
