28 degrees (82 F) and 56% humidity at work, and this is the "cool" side of the building at this time of day. Needless to say, being Britain there's no air conditioning, don't even have a fan.

Oh well, term ends today, and I finish for four weeks tomorrow - it ought to have been today, but I got the date wrong when I was arranging my leave. Normally that wouldn't be an insurmountable problem but I've just come out of a big argument about my leave entitlement (and yes, I'm entitled to five days more than my bosses wanted me to have!) so I don't want to make any last-minute changes - also some chemicals that I'm expecting may be delivered tomorrow, since I gave it as the last possible date, and I really don't want to leave them sitting outside the flame store until I get back.

So I'm just waiting for the last classes in the labs to end, then I'll be unplugging stuff and making everything safe. Gas is already switched off at the main, so it's basically the computers, AV projectors, etc. to shut down, and a lot of minor tidying. That ought to be done by the end of the day, so tomorrow I'll probably spend the day filing worksheets. Oh, the joy...

30+ and around 90% humidity last week in Yingkou. Cooler and drier now, around 27 and 70% (estimated by feel).

It's hot here too. Philadelphia reached record highs. Then we had a huge storm and that helped a bit, but the heat seems like it is coming back. I have asthma so it is really not fun at all.
