Someone called Kate Warner has made two attempts to get me to add me to my Skype contacts today - first by sending a text saying "please add me to your contacts", then by a call which I didn't take. I have no idea who this is, and the profile is completely blank.

Apologies if this is someone on my flist, but the only way anyone is getting added to my Skype contacts is by me knowing them from somewhere else - cold calls certainly aren't going to be accepted. I have better things to do than rejecting endless spam, and if this escalates any more I will ditch Skype altogether.

Kate Warner was a character from the second season of 24. But I think the name is ringing a bell from somewhere else too.

How bizarre. I can't think of a possible reason to spam someone on Skype. I found it most excellent for keeping up with J in the Sandbox, though sandstorms would really mess with video uplink.

I've only ever had one mystery person try to get me to add them. Probably partly because I am very cautious about telling people that I have it to begin with.
