Happy Birthday E II R
Jun. 14th, 2008 02:51 pmApparently Russell T Davies has been given an OBE and Gerald Scarfe got the CBE in the Queen's birthday honors list. Lots of others, but they were the ones that I particularly noticed.
Annoyingly I forgot that there was going to be a birthday fly past today, so instead of being on the roof with my Nikon I was out shopping in Portobello Road. VERY annoying, because it looked like I would have had a better view than last year. Anyone know if the refurbished Vulcan made it to the party? I didn't see it, or at least didn't realise what it was if I caught a glimpse.

Looks like it wasn't in the flypast, they're still working on full flying certification and they wouldn't take it over London without that.

Pity really as I like the whole idea of the Vulcan project showing that just because the aircraft are out of service they are necessarily useless.
