No livejournal at work

It looks like the new computer setup at work is blocking all access to social networking sites, even for staff. So if any friend is wondering why I've missed commenting on posts, it's probably because I've seen it 8 or 15 hours after it was posted, and there didn't seem to be much urgency any more. I'll try to keep up, but please bear with me.

I don't have it as bad as you, but the council have seemed to demand that for securities sake, no new software is allowed to be used without an internal management audit.

And so we deal with 1000's of claimant's housing, employment and financial status on the internet explorer version that council laptops come with.

Tell me about it - we now have a managed system, which means they don't allow me to install any software or even access the C drive directly!

Because I try to be polite to my friends. And one way to be polite is to comment in a timely manner, not umpteen hours later. But I dare say that they can survive without me, and I can survive without them, without me paying for a phone I neither want or need for any other purpose.
