Bike fire update
Feb. 13th, 2011 03:25 pmI've finished most of the bike repairs yesterday and today. For those with a morbid interest, the "Before" pictures are here.

I'll do some After pictures when the weather is nicer.
The main thing left to do now is replace the speedometer "glass" (actually some sort of plastic) which has gone cloudy due to heat - they don't sell it except as part of an instrument cluster, so I need to get a piece of perspex cut to size.

Date: 2011-02-13 07:27 pm (UTC)I'm a member of a tech workshop collective called London Hackspace and have access to a laser cutter. I'm not safety trained on it yet but I hope to be on Tuesday and will be slicing myself some 2mm acrylic if I can get it in time. Will this do the trick? If so, do you need a circle (let me know the diameter) or another shape? If not a circle, do you think you could draw it in Inkscape?
