The wedding was not my scene - I hate crowds and am more or less indifferent to the royals - and the constant repeats on the TV are a PITA. Like others I'm wondering what else was happening today that isn't being reported on the news unless you go digging for it. So far I've heard of a couple of demonstrations that were stopped by police (the Royal Zombie Wedding Flash Mob sounds like it would have been pretty cool), but remarkably little that isn't linked to the wedding. Were Brits really that obsessed today, or has there been some ghastly event somewhere that simply isn't being reported?

From experience, I would say that it's on days like this parliaments have a habit of passing dodgy legislation, hoping no one will notice - why yes, I really *am* that cynical.

We just saw one of zombies in the churchyard of St Giles-in-the-Fields.

Well it's apparently costing us £300,000 per day, every day, for RAF Tornados to run on average one sortie a day against Libya.

But that's been happening for a while now and not getting reported on.

Well they have been arresting people and banning others from central London all week in a kind of pre-crime public order BS raid.
