Clutching my hair...
Dec. 10th, 2004 02:56 pmJust what I needed...
Noticed on my way in to work that my clutch cable (BMW R80 motorbike) is about to fail - the wires are coming apart at the handlebar end. I'm going to order a replacement cable as soon as I get home (always assuming it gets me home!) - they're not very expensive but they aren't stocked by most bike shops. Given the state it's in I'll have to leave it at home until the cable comes and I can do the repair, which probably means next weekend.
I'm vaguely wondering if I can bodge a temporary repair somehow, but even with the way it's stretched I doubt that there's enough slack to knot it or something. Anyone got any suggestions?
