Would be and described of course - unfortunately the OCR was really bad on this one, but I thought I'd caught everything obvious. Don't know why the spell checker didn't catch it.
Not sure how the torpedoes worked - I think that the aerial ones were just smaller torpedoes that could only be fired when the sub was surfaced, but I could be wrong on that - this is where I need a submarine expert to look through and identify the type of craft and the weapons etc.
