Here's the formatting I'm using for the combat etc. resolution table. I think it's reasonably clear, any suggestions on alternatives?
Edit: Just after LJ went down I realised I'd messed up the table by putting a load of 12s in where there should be 11s. Now fixed. I've decided to have both the table and the "how to do it in your head" paragraph in the main text, since there seem to be people that still like it.
