Fame at last...

Three times a year an organisation called CLEAPSS at Brunel University publishes a technical bulletin for school laboratories. Usually it's things like details of recent accidents, various publications available to organisation members (which we are), etc. They'e the main source of safety and technical information for most of the schools in the UK. Every now and again they also publish helpful hints, useful ideas and techniques, etc. in the bulletin. Since they are often very useful ideas, and it's a good idea to support this sort of thing, I've sent in several suggestions over the years.

I just got a letter saying they're going to use one - no idea what it is, but it's nice that they've chosen me. What's even nicer is that they sent me £25 in gift vouchers, which I'd forgotten was part of it.

Now all I have to do is see which one they've used and wait for the complaints that it doesn't work to start rolling in...

Not bad... you'd have had to have written about 1500 words to make that much if you were writing rpg stuff! :)

All too true, unfortunately.

What's especially lucky is that it's my eldest niece's birthday in a week or so and the vouchers will do VERY nicely as her present.
